How Do Neck Coolers Work? The polymer absorbs water and works on the principal of evaporating cooling. Hydrate the neck cooler in cold water for 10-15 minutes. Wrap it around your neck and the water's evaporation helps keep you cool. Once "charged" it will provide cooling for hours. No real need to keep dunking in cold water. Here's a Great Tip! Instead of using community dunk stations at events.....carry your neck cooler in a sandwich bag. When you need it put a little water in, close it up & in 10-15 mins. the cooler is hydrated and ready to use. When you are done with it put it back in the bag but do not seal it because it will continue to hydrate. Use again the next day....

Ribbons of Social Action Neck Coolers How do Breast Cancer walkers and crew stay cool? Neck Coolers from Allyndayle!! We make our Neck Coolers right here at Allyndayle (in the great USA)! Because we make them, we know they are filled with a safe and non-toxic polymer, also made in the USA. We have been making & marketing our Neck Coolers for 9 years. Made from 100% cotton fabric, they are hand washable. You will get care instructions with each cooler you order. Wear the cooler around your neck, as a head band or wrist wrap. The easy tie makes them fit perfectly. The finished cooler is 45 inches long & 2 inches wide. The polyner filled portion is 14 inches long to provide lots of cooling surface. Keep them handy at the office & at home. Use them while playing sports, riding motorcycles or bikes, working in the garden, even wear them to bed for night time relief. And, of course, wear your Neck Cooler while participating in your important charily event! Make a "cool" fashion statement ! Care Instructions. Neck Coolers need no refrigeration to work, only water. When you receive your Neck Cooler it will be dry & flat/ empty looking. Activate by soaking in water 15-20 min. See it plump. Soaking too long will make the crystals ooze from the fabric tie. Remove from water when tube is plumped slightly. Leave room in the fabric tube. The crystals will continue to hydrate & expand. Push the hydrated crystals along the tube to distribute the gel evenly. Wrap around neck, head or wrist loosely & tie. When needed, remoisten. Store in an open plastic bag, the refrigerator or hang to dry. After several days of drying, the crystals will return to their dry state. Simply hydrate again in water. Use over & over. Hand wash with a mild soap. Do not machine wash or dry. Do not freeze. The cooler is non-toxic & non-allergenic.
